Queens University of Charlotte was founded in 1857 as a women's college. In 1987, the University went co-ed by admitting resident males. A university that began as the Charlotte Female Institute has grown into a nationally recognized
University with over 2,200 students. Queens main campus is located in the prestigious Myers Park area, and boasts a 65- acre sports complex located approximately 4.5 miles away.

The Queens University of Charlotte Sports Complex at Marion Diehl Park is an example of the commitment that has been made to ensure that Royals become one of the premier division II schools in the country.
