Gift Matching
The Royals Club is the Queens University of Charlotte booster club for athletics. The Royals Club is charged with enhancing the financial viability of Queens’ Athletic Department, engaging individuals and businesses in intercollegiate athletics, and supporting Queens’ student-athletes and coaches. Donations made to the Royals Club have enhanced a variety of areas including program budgets, facilities and equipment over the years.
Queens’ student-athletes are described as assertive, resilient, motivated, responsible, enthusiastic, confident, competitive, focused, disciplined, accountable, prepared, energetic, determined and reliable. Your contribution helps these young people lay the foundation for their future successes and directly impacts the expansion and strength of the athletics department.

Increasing financial support is essential to maintain and improve the quality of Queens athletics. The continuous support of alumni, parents and friends has contributed greatly to the success of our teams. The Royals Club's efforts, with full support of the administration and the athletics department, will continue to benefit all of our student-athletes.
All expenditures of Royals Club funds and all Royals Club activities comply with NCAA and other applicable regulations. The Royals Club is funded through the generosity of its members, who renew annually with tax-deductible gifts that qualify them for membership levels as noted below. Note that if a member accepts the premiums provided for the various membership levels, this affects the deductibility of the gift, generally making it 80% deductible for gifts of $100 or more. Please consult your tax advisor.

SPORT-SPECIFIC GIFTS
While gifts to the Royals Club support all 16 of Queens’ athletic teams, donors may designate their gift to a particular sport and 100% of that gift is available for team expenditures.

Please understand that your employer may not match your gift, or may only match the tax-deductible portion of your gift, and that you the donor are responsible for the unmatched amount. ROYALS ATHLETIC HISTORY
Established in 1987, Queens’ NCAA Division II program continues to offer diverse, exciting, intercollegiate athletics competition to its student-athletes through its 16 men’s and women’s sports teams and 65-acre, state-of-the-art sports complex facility.
The Royals compete in Conference Carolinas with a high level of success. Some of the recent accomplishments include:
Men's cross country won the Conference Carolinas championship, Regional Championship and advanced to the National Championship, which were all program firsts in 2007. The team's success continued with Regional Championships in 2008 and 2010.
Men's basketball advanced to the NCAA tournament for the seventh time in program history in 2008.
Indoor track and field athlete Daniel Kanyaruhuru captured the 5,000m National Championship to become the first-ever NCAA National Champion at Queens in 2008. Michael Crouch defended Daniel's title by winning Queens second NCAA Championship in the 5,000m in 2009.
Indoor track and field athlete Tanya Zeferjahn took home the 2009 and 2010 10,000m National Championships while finishing second in the 2010 5,000m.
Men’s golf 2010 NCAA appearance was their first in three years, spear-headed by All-American Ben Caruso.
Women's tennis finished 2010 with a perfect regular season mark of 17-0. A first for any Queens team.
Queens has the world’s largest standing lion sculpture at the Sports Complex.
