Three Royals Advance to Saturday's Finals at Indoor NCAAs

PITTSBURG, Kans. –
At day one of the 2018 NCAA Division II Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships, three members of the Queens University of Charlotte track and field program advanced to Saturday's finals.

In the prelims of the one-mile run, Daniel Wallis and Felix Wammetsberger placed in the top five, finishing second and fourth, respectively, to advance. Wallis recorded a time of 4:10.75 with teammate Wammetsberger coming in just behind him at 4:10.91.

Nikia Squire advanced to compete in the women's 60-meter dash final after clocking a time of 7.43 seconds in the prelims, the third fastest of the day.

Elijah Inuwa placed 11th in the 800-meter run crossing the finish line at 1:52.19.

In the distance medley relay, Kevin Harrison, Inuwa, Wallis, and Wammetsberger, placed 11th, recording a time of 10:23.40.

Hannah Wolkenhauer placed 11th as well in the mile with a time of 4:56.56.

The Championships conclude on Saturday, March 10.
