Squire Takes Second in 100 Meter Dash at NCAA Championships

BRADENTON, Fla. – Queens University of Charlotte's Nikia Squire of the women's track and field team became a seven time all-American this evening after taking second place in the 100 meter dash at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
 
Squire crossed the finish line in 11.48 behind Ornella Livingston of St. Augustine who took championship title in 11.42. Squire entered the race seeded first with a time of 11.36 that ranked the sprinter first in the nation in the event for the entire season.
 
On Thursday, Squire took the long jump title to become the first Queens athlete in history to win a national championship in a field event.
 
The NCAA DII Outdoor Track and Field Championships will conclude this evening.
