SAINT LEO, Fla.- The Queens University of Charlotte women's cross country team earned a 15
th overall finish at the NCAA Division II Championships this morning as Queens placed three runners inside the top 100.
Corinne Kule was named an All-American as she finished 37
th overall with a time of 21:22.7 for a personal best.
"I could not be more proud of the women's team today," said Cross Country Coach
Tsehaye Baney. "They showed great maturity. More than half of these girls had not been to nationals before and they did not let the pressure get to them. They each ran their own race and continued to show up when it mattered most; you cannot always expect that with a young team. The goal going into the race was to hit the top 15 as a team and they hit it right on the nose. I look forward to seeing this group continue to grow together and become something great. Overall I'm happy to have been able to bring both men's and women's teams back to nationals. Moving up 13 spots in the women's team rankings was excellent. The future is bright, we now turn our focus to the indoor and outdoor track season with the hope qualify several distance athletics for the national meet."
The Royals also secured the highest team ranking from the Southeast region, outscoring
Montevallo who took the top finish in the regional meet just two weeks prior. The Royals tallied 410 points for their finish.
Grand Valley St. was the top team in the competition taking first with 116 points. Adams State followed in second with 139 point while Western State secured 168 points for third.

th place overall. She was the second Royal to cross the finish line.
Lucie Noall also landed inside the top 100 of the event, tallying a 95
th place finish with a 22:19.0 time.
Hannah Wolkenhauer found the next finish for the team as she placed 139
th on the national stage. She clocked a time of 22:44.9.

th with a 22:49.6 for a personal best time.
