NEW ORLEANS, La.- The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has named All-Region honorees for outdoor track & field in Division II. The top five from each region in individual events and each member of a relay ranked in the region's top three have earned the All-Region distinction for the 2012 outdoor season.
A total of 1,274 athletes receive 1,854 USTFCCCA All-Region nods. The USTFCCCA regions match those used for NCAA Cross Country Championships.
Felix Duchampt (Clermont Ferrand, France, Lycée Jeanne d'Arc ) and
Anthony Mallory (Merced, Calif., Golden Valley Merced ) of the Queens University of Charlotte men's track and field team earned the recognition. Duchampt received the honor for his performance in the 5000 meter, while Mallory's was earned for his effort in the 800 meter.
From the women's team
Emilia Skolubowicz (Myslowice, Poland, Myslowice) and
Rosa Young (Spartanburg, South Carolina, Dorman High School) made the list for multiple events. Skolubowicz finshed in the top five in the 1,500 meter and the 3,000 meter steeplechase. Young was rewarded for her efforts in the 800 meter, 1,500 meter and 5,00 meter runs.
Kimone Hewitt (Orange County, Calif., Segerstown)(800 meter) and
Mathilde Timboni (Prévessin-Möens, France, Prévessin-Möens) (3,000 meter steeplechase) also made the list.
