CHAPEL HILL, N.C.- Part of the Queens University of Charlotte track and field field traveld to compete in the Kent Taylor Invitational hosted by UNC-Chapel Hill this afternoon.
Mathilde Timboni (Prévessin-Möens, France, Prévessin-Möens) had a shining moment racing to a fourth place finish amoung Division I opponents in the 800-meter. Timboni ran in at 2:22.06 as the top Division II finisher.
Lauren Barnett (Chesterfield, Va., Lloyd C. Bird) was also a top Division II finisher in the high jump completing 1.55-meters for sixth place. In shot put,
Lucrecia Waller (Conyer, Ga., Conyer) threw an 18th best 7.48-meters.
On the men's side,
Ryan Cook (Murphy, N.C., Murphy) took 21st place in the 800-meter race, while
Benny Perez (Ceres, Calif., Ceres ) took 24th in the mile run with a time of 4:54.59.
Stefan Liotchev (Durham, N.C., Riverside) ran in the 3000-meter race finishing in 10:19.47.
Next up for the program is the Appalachian State University Open in Boone, N.C., on February 17.
