CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Christiaan Lee-Daigle (Tecumseh, Ontario, L'Essor Secondary School) of the men's tennis team has been named the male InterCon Student-Athlete of the Month for his outstanding performances in the month of April.
The Royals wrapped up the regular season with four straight wins in the month of April clinching the Conference Carolinas Regular Season Title for the first time in program history. They then traveled to Sumter, S.C., for the Conference Carolinas Championship winning the tournament for the first time in school history advancing to the NCAA Tournament.
Lee-Daigle, who is ranked 20th in the nation in singles and 12th in the nation in doubles, went 7-0 in singles action and 5-2 in doubles for the month. His efforts earned him a spot on the Conference Carolinas All-Conference First Team for the third year in a row as well as the Conference Player of the Year award. Lee-Daigle was also named the Conference Carolinas Tournament MVP.
