Royals men’s golf finishes season at NCAA Regional

DeBerg finished 30th in the three-round event

CHARLOTTE, N.C.- After three rounds at the Victoria Hills Golf Club in DeLand, Fla. on the par-72 7,072-yard course, the Queens men's golf team finished with a stroke total of 928 (308-309-311). No. 3 Lynn won the event and advanced to the NCAA Championship with a card of 869 (288-293-288).
 
Craig Deberg (Edina, Minn., Edina) led the Royals in 30th place. DeBerg turned in Queens' three lowest rounds, 74, 73-75, for a 222. Ryan Sevigny (Stittsville, Ontario, Sacred Heart) posted a 233 (78-77-78) for 86th place.
 
David Bainbridge (England, Thomas Alleynes) and Christopher Baker (Bristol, UK) each shot 241 and Justin Fedje (Ramsey, Minn., Anoka) carded a 244.
 
In addition to Lynn advancing, No. 5 Barry, No. 12 Barton, No. 18 Newberry and No. 15 Columbus State are all going to play for a NCAA Championship. Individual qualifiers include Grant Goforth of Delta State and Jake Murphy of Coker.
