DeBerg leads Royals through two rounds

As a team, Royals still struggling to find their game

CHARLOTTE, N.C.- Craig Deberg (Edina, Minn., Edina) finished the second round of the NCAA Division II South/Southeast Super Region Tournament with a one-over-par 73, a single shot better than his opening round. DeBerg is in 24th-tie place with a two-round total of 174 at the Victoria Hills Golf Club in DeLand, Fla. hosted by the Sunshine State Conference and the Central Florida Sports Commission.
 
As a team, Queens is struggling to find their Conference Carolinas Championship form. The team is in 20th place out of a 20-team field. No. 5 Barry is leading with 579, just three strokes over par.
 
Ryan Sevigny (Stittsville, Ontario, Sacred Heart) and David Bainbridge (England, Thomas Alleynes) each scored better rounds in their second day than their first. Sevigny improved from a 78 to 77 and Bainbridge went from an 87 to 77.
 
Christopher Baker (Bristol, UK) and Justin Fedje (Ramsey, Minn., Anoka) added a few strokes, both going from 78 to 82 and 85, respectively.
 
Lynn's Ricardo Gouveia leads the 108-player field with a 141.
 
The final rounds opens at 7:30am with Bainbridge teeing off first for Queens.
