CHARLOTTE, N.C. – After an outstanding freshman season, Akasha Kasper (Greensboro, N.C., Western Guilford) of the women's lacrosse team was one of 32 student-athletes in Division II selected to be on the 2011 IWLCA All-American Team.

This is the first year since 2006 that the Royals have had a player named to the squad making Kasper Head Coach Meghan Dennehy's first All-American. The IWLCA will honor the National All-Americans at the IWLCA All-American banquet on June 11, 2011 at the Crowne Plaza Valley Forge in King of Prussia, Pa.

Prior to be being named to the second team, Kasper was named to the Conference Carolinas All-Conference First Team, the IWLCA South All-Region Team, and the Synapse Sports All-Rookie Team.
