CHARLOTTE, N.C.- The Golf Coaches Association of America has announced the Division II 2010 Ping All-America teams and Queens’
Ben Lasso (Falls Church, Va., Heritage Academy) has been named to the third team.
Lasso had a fantastic season for Queens capturing the South/Southeast Regional Individual Championship to help the Royals advance to their first-ever NCAA National Championship. During the season Lasso played 25 rounds and shot eight of them under-par. Of the 12 tournaments Queens participated in, Lasso played in 10 and won two.
Conference Carolinas deemed Lasso the Golfer of the Month for the month of March and also tabbed him as an All-Conference First Team Member.
Lasso is one of two Conference Carolinas players to be honored on any team. The other player is Belmont Abbey’s Peter Tarver Jones.
