CHARLOTTE, N.C.- The Queens University of Charlotte men’s golf team is in Noblesville, Ind. taking to the links at the Sagamore Golf Club for its first-ever NCAA Championship. The tournament officially starts on Tuesday, May 18 and is four rounds wrapping up Friday, May 21. The Royals will play Monday in a practice round.
Five teams from each of the four regional tournaments, South/Southeast, Atlantic/East, Midwest/South Central and Central/West, plus eight individuals advanced to the championship. Queens is playing against some of the nation’s top teams including the top four teams in the country, No. 1 Barry, No. 2 Chico State, No. 3 Nova Southeastern and No. 4 Lynn.
The Royals advanced to the tournament by placing fifth at the South/Southeast Regional. Ben Lasso led the team with his first place finish with an eight-under par for the three-round event.
