CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Queens University of Charlotte is proud to announce
Chantel Dodge (Shalimar, Fla., Choctawhatchee) as the recipient of the InterCon Female Student-Athlete of the Month award for the month of the March.
Queens' ace led the Royals up the standings with a strand of strong performances on the mound. Finishing the month with an 11-2 record, she threw an incredible three no-hitters. Dodge proved to be tough in the clutch, winning two of the no-hitters in tight games (3-0 and 1-0).
Sporting an impressive 1.36 ERA and .789 WHIP for the month of March, she is currently second in the Conference Carolinas with a 2.65 ERA and fourth in innings pitched with 129.1.
With six games remaining in the regular season, Dodge ranks amongst the conference leaders in IP, ERA, and wins as she makes a bid to win the Triple Crown.
Royals head coach Stacey Schramm emphasized Dodge's leadership as a key ingredient to the team's success.
