CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Queens University of Charlotte's Brian Masterson (Toledo, Ohio, St. John's Jesuit) has been selected as the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas men's lacrosse Player of the Week during week number seven in the 2010 season.

The senior tallied six goals and two assists in two games for the Royals last week. In a battle of top-ten teams, Masterson recorded three goals and an assist against a Limestone defense that allows just 4.80 goals against per game. Proving to be one of the clutch players in the conference -- three of his four points either tied the game or put Queens ahead. Masterson notched another four points to lead the Royals to a 12-9 victory over Catawba. Scoring three goals early, he was also credited with the assist on the game-winning goal.
