Mallberg, Wennerlund and Belanger named all-conference

Mallberg earns second team, Wennerlund and Belanger third

CHARLOTTE, N.C.  – Conference Carolinas has announced the 2010 Women's Golf All-Conference Teams and three Queens golfers have been honored for their efforts this season. Sophomore Camilla Mallberg (Stockholm, Sweden, Danderyds Gymnasium) was named second team while sophomore Julia Wennerlund (Bjarred, Sweden, Polhemskolan) and freshman Laura Belanger (Waxhaw, N.C., Parkwood) earned third team honors.

This is Mallberg's second time to be named second team all-conference. She played in eight tournaments for Queens this year and recorded an 18-hole round low of 75.

For both Wennerlund and Belanger this is their first time receiving all-conference honors. Wennerlund was named to the all-tournament team in 2009 for her sixth place finish. This year, Wennerlund's best single round score was 77; while Belanger's best collegiate single round was 78.
