CHARLOTTE, N.C.- For the first time since the 2000-2001 season, Queens women’s basketball had players named to the All-Tournament Team. This year two Royals were chosen,
Marissa Hudley (Charlotte, N.C., Harding University ) and
Shakaria Hamlin (Hartsville, S.C., Hartsville), as announced by the Conference Carolinas office following the conclusion of the 2009-2010 Conference Carolinas Championship Tournament.
During the tournament, Hudley registered double-doubles in two of the three games including a game-high 27 points against Erskine. Hamlin recorded one double-double, against Erskine, and scored 10 or more points in each of the three games. Both Hudley and Hamlin’s strong, consistent play helped guide the Royals to their first ever Tournament Championship game.
Missy Mullins was last Royal to be named All-Tournament.
