Hudley named to NCCSIA All-State team

Marissa Hudley made the second team.

CHARLOTTE, N.C.-  Queens University is pleased to announce that women's basketball player Marissa Hudley (Charlotte, N.C., Harding University ) has been named to the 2009-2010 North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information College Division All-State Second Team. Nominees were submitted by North Carolina sports information professionals.  NCCSIA members voted for the all-state teams, and teams are selected for men and women in both the college and university (NCAA Division I) divisions. Eleven players representing 11 different North Carolina colleges and universities have been named to the 2009-10 NCCSIA College Division All-State team. Hudley is one of three student-athletes to repeat their selections from last season. The other two are Esty Flores of Barton and JaToya Kemp of UNC-Pembroke.

Founded in 2002, The North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association (NCCSIA) is comprised of sports information professionals from NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA and independent institutions from the state of North Carolina.  The purpose of the organization is to promote collegiate athletics at all schools.  Membership is open to anyone affiliated with a college, university or conference located in North Carolina, and whose area of responsibility lies within sports information.

Hudley led her team to the Conference Carolinas Tournament Championship game this season averaging 16.2 points and 9.41 rebounds per game. She was also named to the Conference Carolinas All-Conference First team for the second time in her career, and she made the Conference Carolinas All-Tournament Team.
