CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Riding a seven-game win streak, the Queens University of Charlotte men's lacrosse team moved up to No. 8 in the USILA Division II Poll released on Monday, March 29 – the highest ranking in the program's history. Enthusiastic about the team's continued improvement, Royals head coach
Jim Fritz credits his players' work ethic for the season's success.
"I think this is a good indicator of where our program is right now and all the hard work the guys have put in all year."
The feel-good weekend is followed by a quick turnaround, as the Royals are slated to face conference-rival No. 4 Limestone College Wednesday at the Queens Sports Complex. Limestone comes to Queens after crushing the formerly eighth-ranked Saint Leo 17-4 on Saturday. With each team's lone loss coming against the No. 1 and No. 2 teams in the country; the game will have a major impact on the South Region and Conference Carolinas standings.
