Williams commits to women's tennis

Erin Williams is the final addition to the class of 2013 for Coach Karpman.

CHARLOTTE, N.C.- Queens University of Charlotte would like to announce that Head Coach Brett Karpman has added one more player to the women's tennis team roster. Erin Williams has committed and will complete Coach Karpman's class of 2013.

The native of Arden, N.C., attended T.C. Roberson High School where she played varsity tennis all four years of her career. The team captain has been played tennis competitively since age nine on the state and southern level. During her freshman season she played the number one singles and the next three years she played the number two spot. In 2006 and 2008 Williams was a State 3A doubles semi-finalist and in 2007 a State 3A singles semi-finalist. She was also named team MVP in 2006. With a 19-0 record in 2007 she received the Perfect Season Award in Singles. Williams helped lead her team to winning the State 3A Dual Team title finishing the season with a 22-0 record in 2008.

Coach Karpman had this to say about his final addition. “Erin possesses the work ethic, passion and dedication to evolve in to a strong collegiate player. She will make in immediate impact in our lineup especially with her doubles play. Erin also comes from a supportive tennis family that has allowed her to compete and travel.”
