Professional

1. Why did you want to work at Queens?
Queens has a lot of different things to offer as a University. On top of its great academics, it is in a great location and has a beautiful campus. I don’t know why anyone wouldn’t want to come here.
2. Describe your fondest coaching moment.
My fondest moment as a coach had to be when I was an interim head coach this past spring when we defeated Pfeiffer both times. The first victory was very intense for everyone as it was the first time in the history of the program that the Queens Women's lacrosse team beat Pfeiffer on their field. The second time we faced them it was our senior night. So there were already many different kinds of emotions flying around. Again we won and made history, for it was the first time that Queens had beat Pfeiffer both times in the same year. I am hoping to have more moments like that this season
3. Why did you want to become a coach?
I always knew I wanted to be a coach. I have had many coaches over the years that helped me achieve and accomplish my goals as a player. I would like to do the same for others and give them the same opportunity that I was given. I knew I needed to have lacrosse be apart of my life. Although coaching can be a lot of work, it can also be very rewarding when you see your players grow into adults and great athletes over the four years that you coach them and even after they graduate. I want to have a big impact on them like my coaches did on me.
4. What is your coaching philosophy?
I would have to say my coaching philosophy is determination and hard work. If you don’t have either you won’t get anywhere. You have to be determined to push yourself mentally and physically to want to get better…on and off the field. I preach that everyday to my players.
5. If you weren’t a coach, what other job would you want to be doing?
If I wasn't coaching I would probably be a Teacher. My Dad has been a principle for years and my mom is retired but was a great math teacher. So I could see myself following in their footsteps.

Personal

1. Where did you attend college?
I went to Limestone College in Gaffney, SC
2. What activities did you participate in during college?
I played both lacrosse and soccer in college
3. Who is your role model and why?
Wow that is a tough one. I would have to go with my Dad. He has always pushed and motivated me to be better at anything I did. At the time I probably didn’t like it but when I look back I realize I probably wouldn’t have been as successful as I was if it wasn’t for him. Thanks Dad!!
4. As a child, what did you want to be when you “grew up”?
A professional soccer player
5. What is one of the most exciting times of your life? Favorite memory?
When my College lacrosse team made it to the NCAA National tournament my senior year. It was the first time in history for the women’s lacrosse team. It was a great experience that I will never forget.

Just for Fun
1. What is your favorite sport to watch?
My favorite sport to watch is professional football. Go RAVENS!
2. What sports do you like to play?
I love to play any kind of sport. I am sure if you know me you know that I am a very competitive person….even if its Miniature golf. I play to win and have fun doing it.
3. What is your favorite color?
My favorite color is Blue.
4. Who is your favorite athlete and why?
I would have to say that my favorite athlete growing up would have to be Julie Foudy from the USA Women’s Soccer team. She wasn’t the star of the team but more like the work horse or the unsung hero. She had great leadership qualities as a captain. I knew growing up that I wanted to be just like her. Another one would be Lance Armstrong. He definitely takes the word determination to another level.
5. Anything else you would like to share?
I will leave you with two quotes “The goal is not worth arriving at unless you enjoy the journey” By Norman Lear “A life is worth nothing but the impact it has on the other lives.” Jackie Robinson
