CHARLOTTE, N.C.- Queens University of Charlotte is proud to announce that head women’s lacrosse coach Meghan Dennehy has been invited to coach a select American International SportsTours lacrosse team traveling abroad in the summer of 2009. Coach Dennehy will be coaching athletes from all levels of college in the USA as well as international club and university selected players on the Ireland and England tour from the 15th of July to the 24th.
This opportunity is allowing Coach Dennehy to coach lacrosse against great competition while exploring the countries of Ireland and England. AIST provides educational guided tours through the cities for sightseeing as well as providing tough competition for the athletes to play against and improve their game.
“I think this is an awesome experience that AIST offers to players in college and even post college players. I was lucky enough to be part of a team that traveled to Prague to represent the USA a year after I graduated in 2005. It is something I will never forget. I’m very excited that I now get to coach women that will experience the same things that I did. It’s an honor to coach and represent the USA with pride.”
AIST has been doing international sports tours for teams and individuals since 2002 and has enjoyed expanding into more than 22 different countries around the world. They have established partnerships with major tour companies all over the world that allows them to offer this cost effective experience to athletes all over the world.
