K. Wright named Daktronics All-Region Second Team

The freshman was the Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Year

CHARLOTTE, N.C.- Kristen Wright (Salisbury, Md., Parkside) added another accolade to her outstanding freshman season as she was voted to onto the 2009 Daktronics All-Southeast Region Second Team as announced by Daktronics today, November 17.

Wright was named the Conference Carolinas 2009 Freshman of the Year by the women’s soccer coaches at the end of the soccer season. She also was named to the All-Conference First Team.

Wright led the team this season with 14 goals, three assists and 31 points. At the national level she ended her season ranked in the top 50 for goals per game (.70). She also ranked in the top 65 for points per game with 1.55. Within Conference Carolinas Wright was a leader in goals scored, goals per game and in the top two for points and points per game.
