CHARLOTTE, N.C.- The Super Distance Summit will be held in Charlotte, N.C. The Summit, replacing the National Distance Running Summit currently in hiatus for the year, will be from January 2-3, 2010 on the campus of Queens University of Charlotte. The 2010 Super Distance Summit is focused on teaching coaches, athletes and fans the principles and the training philosophies used by some of the most successful distance coaches in America.
Guest speakers include author and coach Brad Hudson, Scott Razco, coach of Alan Webb, Mando Siqueiros, coach of Jordan Hasay, and Jeff Johnson, coach of olympian Andrew Wheating. Hudson, Razco, Siqueiros, and Johnson will be joined by the coach of the 25-time state of Illinois champions York High School, Charlie Kern, ZAP Fitness Elite Coach ,Peter Rea, and six-time National Coach of the Year Scott Simmons.
Last year's National Distance Running Summit was a huge success bringing over 100 coaches together from across the United States and Canada. It was highlighted by two-time U.S. Olympic Distance Coach Dr. Joe Vigil and Team Running USA’s Terrence Mahon whose talks focused on the steps necessary for American distance runners to regain their prominence in Olympic and World Championship competition.
