CHARLOTTE, N.C- The Sporting News has released its annual men's basketball preseason Division II preview and Queens sophomore Daniel Bailey (Irmo, S.C., Hammond ) has been tabbed as a Honorable Mention All-American.

Bailey, who was the 2008-2009 Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Year, was the leading scorer for Queens with 386 points, had a team high 38 blocks, and led the Royals and Conference Carolinas in rebounding.

The Sporting News named only two Conference Carolinas players in the preseason preview, Bailey and Mount Olive's Kendrick Easley, Second Team All-American. As a team, Barton was named as possible breakthrough team this season.

Queens opens the 2009-2010 season at home on November 20, against Wingate University at 7:30pm.
