CHARLOTTE, N.C.- Queens University of Charlotte head cross country and track and field coach Scott Simmons is slated to speak at the 2009 Georgia Track and Field Clinic on January 16-17 in Norcross, Ga.
Simmons, who has been the Southeast region men's cross country coach of the year for 2008 and 2007, will be presenting two lectures, “Championship Season Distance Training Design” and “Components of a Championship Distance Team”.
There are eight different speakers at the clinic including Boo Schexnayder, former assistant track and field coach at Louisiana State University, Greg Hull, elite pole vaulting coach, and Olympic sprinter and gold medalist Tommie Smith.
