Anderson Defeats Queens Tennis
The Royals play again on Tuesday, March 25 against St. Andrews

CHARLOTTE, N.C., (March 9, 2008) — The Anderson University tennis teams defeated the Queens University of Charlotte tennis teams 5-2 on the women’s side and 6-3 on the men’s on Saturday, March 8 at the Queens Tennis Courts.

Anderson, 6-3 overall and 4-0 in the conference, lost just one game at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles to take a 2-1 lead going into singles in women’s action.  The loss drops the Royals to 0-9 overall and 0-3 in Conference Carolinas action.

For the men, Queens took a 2-1 lead in doubles, but No. 18 Anderson University rallied for a 6-3 victory. Overall Queens holds a record of 3-5 and 1-3 in conference play.

Queens will host St. Andrews Presbyterian College on Tuesday, March 25 at 3pm.
